Animals of Arabia
For three years Mark worked continuously on a project in the middle east, drawing and painting mammals of the arabian peninsular. This involved many trips to the arab world, in particular to Oman (which has some of the last wild habitats for many of these highly endangered species), and the emirate of Sharjah, where thanks to the wisdom and generosity of its ruler, a research and breeding centre has been set up to ensure at the least, a healthy captive population of Arabia's extraordinarily beautiful, surprising, and varied desert survivors.
