the giraffes
As a child giraffes were my obsession and I drew them with fanatical regularity. Today having been lucky enough to spend long days with them in the wild, I am still fascinated, but more by their shape than pattern, which is why I have a particular affection for the Masai Giraffe - infrequently spotted in captivity but the tallest animal in the world !
